I believe therapeutic massage can be a powerful tool to help relieve and prevent pain, support healing, increase relaxation, decrease stress, and nurture the body, mind, and spirit. I bring to my work keen technical expertise, a calming presence, and a deep respect for the body and its innate capacity to heal and maintain balance.
I have been lucky enough to provide massage therapy to my clients for over 18 years. I am licensed with the State of Washington and am a member of the Associated Bodywork & Massage Professionals. My Washington State Massage License is #00011836.
I graduated with honors from the Alexander School of Natural Therapeutics in Tacoma in 1998 and opened my private practice in April of 2000. Since graduation I have taken over 550 hours of continuing education, including the prenatal massage certification training, Bodywork for the Childbearing Year. I also attended the University of Puget Sound, graduating in 1977 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Therapy.
In my life away from the massage table, I love gardening, cooking nourishing meals, walking and hiking in beautiful natural settings, watching indie and foreign films, Seahawks Sundays, and hanging out with family, friends and my sweet cat Lily.
